Herringbone Heaven


"Herringbone describes a distinctive V-shaped weaving pattern, usually found in twill fabric. It is distinguished from a plain chevron by the break at reversal, which makes it resemble a broken zigzag. The pattern is called herringbone because it resembles the skeleton of a herring fish."

We have a huge herringbone crush at the moment, not for the pattern translated onto fabrics (which is commonly seen) but in the form of a tile. The herringbone design is certainly nothing new, this beautiful pattern has been seen in the home for hundreds of years but we are loving the different/modern interpretations we have come across lately...
